Fingerdance is transcending communication barriers between the hearing and Deaf with its AI two-way sign language translation system.
We aim to provide a low-cost, convenient AI sign language translation service to facilitate better integration of millions of deaf individuals into society, enabling them to communicate, access more equal employment and educational opportunities, and reduce the inequalities caused by information barriers. Our mission is to make sign language everywhere and aim to construct a more inclusive AI infrastructure, providing a gateway for hearing-loss community to enter the upcoming AGI era.

According to the World Federation of the Deaf, there are more than 72 million deaf people worldwide who are native users of sign language. Sign language is not a universal language and there are more than 300 different variations. Moreover, sign language interpreters are insufficient. Currently, one sign language interpreter serves more than 5000 Deaf individuals. Optimally, one sign language interpreter should serve less than 120 Deaf individuals.
Therefore, our Deaf friends face difficulties in accessing daily services, such as public transportation services, bank services, and media services.
