About Love Roots
ShiokFarm delivers weekly boxes of 100% certified organic fruit and vegetables to families and offices in Singapore. Our members subscribe: this allows visibility for the farmers and in turns allows us to reduce food waste significantly. About 80% of what we distribute comes from Thailand and we have long term partnerships with those farms. We plant mangrove in Indonesia to offset our carbon footprint and are on track to be carbon neutral by 2025. We donate organic fruit and vegetables almost every week to Cheshire Home, a home for disabled people in Serangoon Gardens (so far, we have donated more than 3 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables). We also donate our produce to our packing team. Most of them are older people who are interested with a wage of course, but really appreciate the 5kg of fresh organic produce we donate to them every week. ShiokFarm is the only online grocer in Singapore to have a Bcorp certification (this certification is only granted to companies that are socially and environmentally responsible).
